Welcome to the New World of Ram

If you think you know everything about the powerful Ram truck, think again. The strength of Ram hasn’t diminished throughout the years. It still has a large towing capacity and great fuel economy. Now the new 2018 Ram 1500 is not only a bastion of strength, but also comes with a plethora of safety and technology features that make it dependable and enjoyable.

What You Knew

The Ram has always been best in class in its performance. With four-wheel disc antilock brakes and high strength steel frame, it has always been the top choice for safety. The towing capacity is enormous, with models that can carry over 10,000 pounds. Though a large capacity pickup truck, it performs well on gas mileage, whether its standard gasoline or diesel fuel.

What’s New

The 2018 Ram 1500 has an interior that is referred to as a command center. Stepping into the cab of one of these powerful hubs will place you at the helm in your very own captain’s cockpit. Once the door closes, the cab is whisper quiet, muting all the sounds from the outside and from the engine. In addition, the interior seating is comfortable for both driver and passengers.

The center console features an 8.4 inch touchscreen from which most interior controls can be managed. These controls include Apple Play, Android Auto, and HD radio. A USB port and a six-speaker audio system come standard in all models. Other options include dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, a 10-speaker Alpine audio system, and satellite radio.

The 2018 Ram 1500 is an excellent example of a vehicle that excels in every category in its class. For those who love the freedom that a powerful truck can bring, along with the luxury cab with state of the art features, then this tuck is for you. Visit Bustard Chrysler Listowel and test drive one for yourself.

4 Tips To Consider Before Buying a Sports Car

If you have your eye on a sleek sports car, something like the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT, there are a few things to think about before you drive off the lot. Following these four tips before selecting your new vehicle could make your purchase better than you imagined. Then, when you are ready to shop, stop by Bustard Chrysler Listowel for one of the best selections in the area.

  1. Know the Difference Between the Two Sports Car Types

Generally, enthusiasts recognize two types of sports cars, coupes and roadsters. Two-door coupes with four seats are common and often driven as everyday cars. As a family grows, though, this can become less practical. Roadsters are two-seat power vehicles that are a thrill to drive, but are rarely driven every day. They are often stored during bad weather, only hitting the road when the sun is out the road is clear.

  1. Make Sure Your Budget Fits Your Sports Car

A sports car can be a serious financial commitment. Before you buy, take some time to consider your budget and how your new car payment will fit into it. How much will maintenance cost annually? How will it affect your insurance payment? Will you need a second, everyday car? There’s nothing worse than spending time with the car of your dreams only to find out you can’t afford to keep it.

  1. Shop Around for Car Insurance Before You Buy

As mentioned before, a new sports car requires a new insurance policy. Depending on the model you intend to buy, you could discover premiums are outside your budget. You might also discover that, depending on where you live, you may not be able to find an insurer who will cover your car at all. To make sure you won’t encounter this problem, shop around for car insurance. See which insurers are willing to underwrite a policy and what they will charge for that policy.

3 Vehicle Safety Features to Look for in 2018

If you’re considering the purchase of a 2018-model vehicle soon, then safety features are probably high on your list of priorities. From short trips to the grocery store to long-distance and freeway driving, safety for every member of the family is important, whether you buy a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee or an economy car. At Bustard Chrysler Listowel, we’d like to let you know about some innovative vehicle safety features that will be available in the upcoming year.

  1. Parking Assistance

If you need a large SUV to accommodate your family and all their gear, you might be interested to know that many 2018 models will come with a parking assistance feature. This addition allows you to parallel park your vehicle with ease as it helps you into the space by telling you when to brake and steer. This can be especially helpful for city driving and large, packed parking lots.

  1. Lane Drift Warnings

It is not uncommon to grow tired on long drives or to get distracted while driving. Sometimes, these instances can cause you to drift out of your driving lane, where you might sideswipe another car or, in the case of a two-lane road, become involved in a head-on collision. Some new vehicles, such as the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, are equipped with lane drift warnings. An alarm will sound if your car starts to drift and will correct it as it alerts you of the problem. This feature can help prevent accidents, especially in freeway driving.

  1. One-Touch Emergency Assistance

In case of a driving emergency, accident or other problem, being able to contact help quickly is probably important to you. Some 2018 vehicles will have an available on-board S.O.S. button, which will contact the nearest authorities or help you summon roadside assistance. If you travel with small children, this safety feature can be quite valuable.

Safe driving features can be invaluable, no matter where you travel. From the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee to trucks and other vehicles, we at Bustard Chrysler Listowel can show you a variety of new vehicles that make safety a snap.

Reasons to Buy The 2017 Ram 1500 Quad Cab

If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, Bustard Chrysler Listowel has you and your needs fully covered. Never owned a truck in the past? Well, maybe the 2017 Ram 1500 Quad Cab or another truck model we have could be the perfect fit for you. Here are a few reasons to consider buying a truck.

2016-Ram-1500-Laramie-Longhorn-side-view

Versatility

While no one knows how you use your vehicle better than you, you can’t deny that having a vehicle for loading up furniture, stargazing, grocery shopping and taking care of everyday errands is a serious advantage. No matter the situation, chances are good that a truck can handle it.

More Room

Concerned about not having enough room for passengers in your truck? Current models come with four doors, offer plenty of room and provide you and your passengers with a silky smooth ride. In fact, you can easily find a truck that shares many of the features of a modern sedan, providing you with the best of both worlds without compromise.

Towing Power

One of the main reasons for considering a truck is having towing capabilities. Whether it’s moving day, or if you’re ready to do some four-wheeling, your truck can securely tow whatever it is you need. This means you don’t have to rent a truck, do without whatever it is you want to tow or bother friends who have a truck but might need it the same time you do.

Overall Safety

Drivers are more distracted than ever, and while you might be the safest driver on the block, there’s simply no accounting for other drivers.
