Friday, May 4th: Ladies Night
Enjoy a Girls Night Out on May 4th at Lavish Salon! Enjoy local vendors, prizes, and giveaways with local ladies. Notable vendors include Keep Jewelry, Gotta Love It Clothing, Wicked Scents, Thirty One, Luxury Bedding, and Younique Makeup. There will be lots to choose from and it’s a great opportunity to get some great makeup and fashion ideas for the spring and summer seasons!

Friday, May 4th: May the Fourth be with You
Are you a Star Wars fan? Check out May the Fourth Be With You at the Palmerston Library. Dress up and enter a galaxy far, far away. This is a fun and family friendly event featuring games, crafts, and all things Star Wars.
This event takes place at the Palmerston Branch of the Wellington County Library at 265 Bell St in Palmerston. This event is free, but registration is required. Please call (519) 342-2142 to register!
Friday, May 4th – Saturday, May 6th: Goderich Home and Garden Show
Looking for a fun way to spend the first weekend of May? Why not check out the 8th annual Goderich Home & Garden Show?! It’s a bit of a drive but it’s definitely worth it, offering fun and family friendly activities for the entire family! Admission is free and the show features raffles, demos, door prizes, and over fifty vendors on site displaying their best products and services! Better yet, this entire event is a fundraiser for the All Points Charitable Fund, which supports local families in need by granting a wish to children or their parents, who face life threatening injuries.
This event takes place at the Goderich Memorial Arena at 180 MacDonald St. in Goderich from Friday, May 4th through to Saturday, May 6th. Friday, May 4th, the event runs from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday the event runs 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday the events runs 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Admission is free. Saturday, May 6th: Annual Pre-Mother’s Day Breakfast
The Milverton Firemen’s Association loves MOMS and they are hosting a fun event for you and your mother this coming weekend. Enjoy a pre-Mother’s Day breakfast with your mom (and the rest of your family!) at the BRAND NEW firehall in Milverton!

Thursday, May 10th – Saturday, May 12th: Listowel’s Home & Lifestyle Show 2018
Looking to improve your home and your life? Listowel’s Home and Lifestyle Show is the place to go! Hosted by the North Perth Chamber of Commerce, this annual Home and Lifestyle show features over seventy vendors showcasing all they have to offer. Try your hand at the “Unlock the Door” game featured by Garden of Gifts for a chance to win a great prize! There will also be three food trucks on site, so you won’t go hungry.
This event takes place at the ALL NEW Steve Kerr Memorial Arena in Listowel, located at 965 Binning Street in Listowel. This event will be hosted from 4:00pm-9:00pm from Thursday May 10th to Saturday May 12th. You can find more information on the North Perth Chamber of Commerce website.
Saturday, May 12th: Mother’s Day Brunch & Mini Market
Celebrate mom a little early at the Grand River Raceway for a Mother’s Day Brunch and Mini Market. Enjoy an all you can eat brunch buffet, shop in the mini market for unique gifts, treat yourself at the MOMose bar, enter to win prizes, and much more! This event is held in the Captain’s Quarters dining Room at the Grand River Raceway in Elmira. Seating is limited, so get your tickets fast! The delicious buffet brunch includes bason, sausage, ham, and roast beef, as well as French toast, scrambled eggs, and lunch favourite like mac ‘n’ cheese, cabbage rolls, a soup and salad station, and more!
This event takes place at the Grand River Raceway at 7445 Wellington County Road 21 in Elora. Sunday, May 13th – Mother’s Day Brunch
Who doesn’t love brunch?! On Mother’s Day, treat your mom to a delicious brunch at the Harriston Legion. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children aged 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under.

Tuesday, May 15th: Anxiety and Depression Seminar
Good mental health is vital, and it’s important to keep the conversation open to reduce the stigmas and motivate people to seek help when they need it. If you or a loved one suffer from anxiety, depression, or any other mental health issues, check out this free Anxiety and Depression seminar. Twenty-two years ago, speaker Mike Glugosh was a hostage to his own fears, plagued by mental health issues. Mike was not alone in his suffering, and took time to recover. He now shares the story of his recovery and provides coping skills at this seminar.
This seminar takes place on Tuesday, May 15th at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex at 965 Binning St W. in Listowel. The event runs from 7:00-8:30 pm and is free to attend. Saturday, May 19th: Block Stock and Barrel Beer Festival
The Block Stock and Barrel beer festival is a festival celebrating the uniqueness of barrel-aged beer. This event features over 15 unique barrel aged brewers just waiting for your taste buds to enjoy. Tickets are $25.00 and there are two different sessions available depending when you want to get your eat and drink on. Those Pizza Guys will have fresh pizza on site for your delight!
This event takes place at the Woolwich Community Hall at 31 Parkside Dr. in St. Jacob’s on May 19th from 12:00-4:00 pm and 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Tickets are $25 per session, and include entrance to the event, four drink tokens, and glassware. VIP tickets are available as well, and include the added benefit of entering one hour early, and include six drink ticket tokens instead of four. Thursday, May 24th – Saturday, May 26th: May Big Ball Blowout Bonanza
The Spinrite Yarn Factory Outlet hosted May Big Ball Blowout Bonanza is a must-go event if you’re into anything related to yarn! It’s the outlet’s first outdoor tent sale of the year and there will be some great deals available for knitters and crocheters alike!

Thursday, May 31st : Character Run
If you’re looking for a good run in the better weather, the Character Run would be a great one for your and your whole family to attend. With opportunities to 1km, 3km, 5km, or 10km, there is something for everyone! Race timing will be hosted by Sportstats.ca, a light lunch will provided, and every participant who registers before May 1st is guaranteed to get a prize bag as well as a official t-shirt.
This event takes place beginning in front of Dynafit at 275 Elma St. W. in Listowel. The admission cost for this event is $50.00 for adults (includes prize bag and t-shirt) and $25.00 for those under 18.
